Audiovisual Installation 5,1
This audio/visual installation is an immersive experience that confronts the audience with psychological questions about the conflict between individual and society. Inspired by dystopian fiction and alternate history, the installation employs four looped moving images and five general videos, all collaged from real events, characters, and videos. The intricately designed soundscape complements the visuals and enhances the overall experience.
Moreover, the process of creating the video materials will continue as news and events unfold, ensuring that the installation stays current and relevant. By using speculative strategies from dystopian fiction and alternate history, the installation seeks to inspire reflection and action, empowering the audience to imagine different possibilities for the future and contributing to positive change.
SOUND
This sound installation project aims to explore the relationship between sound and space by creating a unique sonic landscape that responds to the acoustic properties of the installation site. Using a combination of field recordings, found sounds, and electronic manipulations, the installation will immerse visi- tors in a 5.1 sound space, inviting them to engage with their surroundings in a new way.
The installation will feature speakers placed in unexpected locations, and the volume and direction of the sound will be manipulated to create an immersive experience that challenges visitors’ assumptions about the relationship between sound and space. Whether listening attentively or allowing the sound to wash over them, visitors to the installation will be invited to engage with the environment in a new and transformative way.
The project aims to showcase the potential of sound to shape our perception of space and the way we interact with our surround- ings. The 5.1 sound space will provide a realistic experience of places, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the sonic landscape. By doing so, the project hopes to inspire visitors to reflect on the role of sound in our daily lives and the impact it can have on our experience of the world around us.
