At a repetition of distances

“Impact” is the accompaniment of Masoud Simaei and Mohiyeddin Madani, which is formed during the loneliness of each of them and the existence of geographical distance.

In this piece, Oriental and electronic music are mixed in an improvised process, and the result is something that gives a modern sound.

”The aim of this study is to explore how modern communication tools affect the privacy of contemporary individuals. The research argues that while technology can offer the illusion of connection, it actually facilitates a shared solitude, where individuals can be physically alone but remain connected to others through the improvisational exchange of words, notes, and sounds. Through an analysis of the phenomenon of distance improvisation, this study seeks to understand how two distant but familiar minds create new situations, and how these improvisations summon a new form of porous solitude for those who are forced to be alone in the contemporary world”.
